The Joondalup Village project consists of three villages with a total of 189 apartments and 800m2 commercial office space. AEEBC assessed this project for energy efficiency using HERS software and the commercial DTS assessment method and helped achieve a five star average star rating for each residential unit. AEEBC Consultants attended meetings with the Architects to integrate Energy Performance into Window Design. Issues of adequate shading and requirements of high performance glazing were discussed and resolved to achieve compliance with Council Requirements.
Both these projects comprise of 60 residential class 2 units with common amenities. AEEBC assessed this project for energy efficiency using the HERS software and the commercial DTS assessment method. The client required an average five star rating for each unit and AEEBC’s final adopted recommendation was a combination of tinted glass, Low-E glass and cavity insulation.
