Green Star is a comprehensive, national, voluntary environmental rating system that evaluates the environmental design and construction of buildings. The rating system is designed to promote world leadership in environmentally sustainable design and awards a star rating for the building based on meeting the criteria of nine categories.

NABERS ASSESSMENTS
NABERS is a performance-based rating system for existing buildings. NABERS rates a building on the basis of its measured operational impacts on the environment, and provides a simple indication of how well you are managing these environmental impacts compared with your peers and neighbours.
Mandatory disclosure for Commercial dwellings
From the 1st November, the Commercial Building Disclosure scheme (CBD scheme) will require a NABERS Energy rating to be disclosed when office space >2000sqm is offered for lease or sale

Scope of works - Audit of Energy use and associated services across the Ingal EPS factory site
The key objectives of the energy audit are as follows:
• Establish current levels of energy use and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions;
• Identify cost-effective energy saving practices/projects;
• Identify cost-effective reductions in GHG emissions; and
• Review the cost benefit of installing Power Factor Correction equipment.
Outcome – The savings represent a 22% reduction in energy consumption and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 80 tonnes of (CO2-e) per annum.
